The Red Dot and iF Design awards are two of the world’s most renowned and prestigious competitions for high-quality design. Only products that demonstrate outstanding design are awarded the coveted seal of quality by the international jury. We are incredibly pleased and honoured that our Electric Secateurs BCL23 is a winner.

Bahco has been making tools since 1886 and a deep understanding of the needs and experiences of all men and women who work with the tools day after day, is in their DNA. Bahco designed battery-powered secateurs for a multitude of pruning activities, making the human tasks more efficient and comfortable. The secateurs robust and sturdy but lightweight design, combined with the high-performance brushless motor, allows for a high degree of comfort, even for the most intensive pruning work. The outstanding autonomy of the Li-ion batteries allows professionals to prune for up to a full working day without interruption. With their maximized operation time and excellent cutting performance, the secateurs meet customers’ needs even during intense pruning. They turn “heavy pruning into light work”.

Founded in 1955, the Red Dot label is one of the most internationally recognized labels for quality and successful design. The Red Dot Design Awards are presented once a year in three disciplines: Product Design, Brand & Communication Design and Concept Design. The jury includes 50 international experts from various fields: designers, architects and teachers.

Another of the world’s most prestigious design awards, the iF Design Awards, has been organized in Germany since 1953. The iF logo marks good design and is a badge of quality, and the jury includes 75 international independent design experts.
